May Commission Meeting

The Board of County Commissioners meet in regular session on Monday, May 15, 2006 at the Benton County Courthouse at 6:00 P.M.

Following the presentation by Bill Kee about the Tennessee River Resort District Act, the commission voted 16-0-0-2 (tommy Spence and Perry Hensley were absent) to bring a resolution to accept the Tennessee River Resort District Act at the June 19 Commission Meeting.

Resolution approving Ambulance Service Proposal (0515-01), the bid by Henry County Medical Center EMS was selected at $385,000 the first year, $400,000 the second, and $415,000 the third, plus $60,000 a year for dispatch until our Central Dispatch is up and running. Now West Tennessee Healthcare has until June 14 to accept or reject that offer in writing. If rejected HCMC will have you to 90 days to take over. This resolution was passes 10-5-1-2. And an amendment to accept the $180,000 a year bid of Emergystat failed 10-6

The commission approved the drawings for the new jail annex 10-6 -0-2 and will bring a Resolution to appropriate funds in the amount of $245,000 for blue prints at the June 19 Commission Meeting
